Archetype Ground-Making Event

On June 14, 2023 Vancouver City Councillors Kirby-Yung, Klassen and Meiszner joined QuadReal and the project team to celebrate the team’s twist on groundbreaking: the ‘ground making’ of Archetype. This unique blend of 200+ rental homes, creative industrial and office space is coming out of the ground at Main and 1st Avenue in Vancouver’s False Creek Flats. Archetype is one of the first developments in Vancouver that combines strata office, creative industrial and residential rental on one site, fulfilling the City of Vancouver’s vision for the False Creek Flats as a hub for job space, flexible housing, sustainability, arts and culture. Respecting the historical industrial roots of this neighbourhood, Archetype will provide spaces for artisans and creative businesses as well as for the burgeoning tech sector and medical practices. Located steps away from the Main St Skytrain station, the new SkyTrain station at Great Northern Way-Emily Carr and the new St. Paul’s Hospital, the property is close to everything that makes Vancouver hum.
